18TH IAFS TRIENNIAL MEETING

The 18th triennial meeting of the International Association of Forensic Sciences will be held July 21-25, 2008 in New Orleans, LA. Nicole Ledbetter, a graduate student in the UNT Chemistry Department, will be attending and presenting her abstract Nanomanipulation Coupled to Nanospray Mass Spectrometry: Applications to Direct Cell Probing and Trace Fiber Analysis.

9TH ANNUAL TARRANT COUNTY MEDICAL EXAMINER'S CONFERENCE

The 9th Annual "Current Trends in Forensic Science" will be held December 17-19, 2008 at 200 Feliks Gwozdz Place in Fort Worth, TX 76104. A variety of exciting topics will be covered, including The Medical Examiner, Human Identification, Prosecution, A Look at Forensic Disciplines, and Mass Fatalities.
